We are a small Assisted Living community with a commitment to bringing great food to our residents. We serve 3 healthy meals a day and are looking for a cook to assist with our commitment.

This role is very important to our business so the attitude of the applicant will be most important. The Line and Prep Cook reports to our Kitchen Manager assisting in the smooth, efficient, and effective preparation of food and cleaning of the kitchen and dining room.

Besides general food preparation and cleaning, other duties include the maintenance of food preparation areas and general cleaning of utensils and dishes, receiving food deliveries and putting them away, ensuring effective time management, the professional engagement with our guests, and the ability to humbly accept the praise and appreciation of our residents. 🙂

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Illustrative Only)

Food Preparation and serving

Loads operates and unloads dishwashing machines and hand washes
equipment, utensils, pots, pans, etc.

Delivers and stores clean dishes and utensils to proper storage area

Cleans kitchen area, tables, cabinets, equipment, etc.

Disposes of trash and garbage

Brings food deliveries to a storage area(s)

Maintains and cleans storage area and assists cook in maintaining inventory control sheet

Assists cook(s) in moving/lifting bulk food items, stockpots, trays, etc.

Performs related kitchen duties as required and assigned.
