đź’ź We are more than skin deep đź’ź
This coming solstice, slowing down for me feels deeply deserved.
When I first moved to Joshua Tree, before deciding to dedicate myself to this trade, I found myself in the coolest community of women. So glad that has continued all these years later.
Back then….
We would gather in the dark evenings at this house or that, with friends and strangers, all with the same intention. Whatever happened to be.
The women in this high desert community strengthened the shape about me. Instilling in me what I now realize was the first ever written mission statement of my business- that is an essence, that we
“have an opportunity to continuously carve the masterpiece that you are”

As a curious professional for over a decade now in my field, that is Esthetics on paper, and a practicing Aweist (a religion, my grandmother coined to my knowledge, and raised me to be), I’d like to take note of our growing generations, reflecting us, in our values, by what is seen heard and believed by us in our present generation.
đź’ź and I believe that Aging is an Art đź’ź
Let’s treat it with the same respect, awareness, sensitivity, and honor that any other great masterpiece would be treated.
I’m learning that when things feel dark, it’s probably because they are.
i’ve been lighting more candles, playing more puzzles, and leaning into the depths in the various forms they come to visit in.
I’m proud to say that (my feeling is as a result of the latter), the past month has been spent in deep creative work that I’m looking forward to sharing with the world — meant to land in the ACTUAL hands of our local aspiring Estheticians to come,
so that they too can pass on this delicate art, science, and trade, to the next generation.
