After eating our bodies have a glucose response and in return an insulin response. When this happens, those of us who are already high glucose can have a major spike. A way to help calm the spike is by walking, if walking is not an option, then body weight squats or calf raises can help us uptake some of that glucose to the skeletal muscle. Calf raises/ squats are more effective for some than walking but the other is also true. Test it out, it may help you stay awake through that afternoon lull
