Autumn Equinox.
A moment of balance—light and dark,
inner and outer, breath and stillness.
The Earth exhales.
So do we.
We slow down,
not to stop,
but to return.
To ourselves.
To the soil beneath our feet.
To the truth that we are not separate
from the turning of the leaves,
the cooling of the air,
the quieting of the world.
We are nature—
wild, rhythmic, and wise.
And now is the time
to listen.

When was the last time you really allowed yourself to pause? You know, that kind of power pause ritual, where time and space expand and your breath deepens and you are able to just be with your breath in the present moment? Whether you already did that today or it’s been a minute we want to support your fall ritual practice so that you can uptake the nutrients of summer as as you transition into autumn and all that the new season holds for you.

Fall equinox is just around the corner, gently knocking at our door and inviting us to pause. This moment of balance—equal parts light and dark—reminds us that change is always unfolding, and that every season carries both gifts and challenges. As we trade the endless glow of summer for autumn’s softer rhythms, we’re given the chance to release, to reflect, and to create space for what’s next. Just as nature finds harmony in sunshine and rain, creation and destruction, our lives too crave finding balance in duality.

Sunday October 5th at 4pm- We invite you to honor this transition with a very special guest teacher from Nome, Alaska, Larissa Figley (RYT, LMT) for a grounding workshop- Fall Reset: Vinyasa Yoga & Journaling Practice.

✨ The Experience
This 2-hour experience begins with guided journaling to reflect on what you’re ready to release and what you’d like to invite in this fall. From there, Larissa will lead a warming vinyasa flow to create space for clarity, renewal, and integration. (Please bring a journal with you to class.)

✨ About Larissa
Larissa has been teaching for over a decade, blending fun music, creative vinyasa, empowering storytelling, anatomical science, and everyday magic. She trained in Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga and philosophy in India, holds certifications in Yoga Medicine and Primal Vinyasa therapeutics, and is also a licensed massage therapist. She teaches across Alaska and Hawaii, and leads yoga retreats worldwide.

What happens when you face your fears—big or small? You carry yourself differently. Your shoulders pull back, your head lifts high, and you move through the world with a newfound confidence.

That’s exactly what arm balances teach us.

Arm balances aren’t just about strength. They’re about trust—trusting yourself, trusting your body, and learning how to work with your natural balance rather than against it. The fear of falling is real (and we’ve all been there), but so is the thrill of discovering that you are capable of more than you thought possible.

To dive deeper join the Intro to Arm Balances workshop tomorrow! You will be guided through four empowering arm balances—Crow, Side Crow, Flying Splits, and Flying Lizard (scissors)—breaking each down into approachable, step-by-step progressions. You’ll learn:
• How to cultivate a mindset of “what can I do” by breaking arm balances down into a smaller doable parts.
How to use your body’s unique proportions and weight distribution to create lift
• How to engage the right muscles to support stability
• How to move past the mental block of fear and into freedom

We’ll laugh, we’ll wobble, and we’ll celebrate every attempt, because arm balances aren’t about perfection, they’re about exploration. Each fall is a lesson, and each lift-off is a victory.

The best part? What you learn on your mat doesn’t stay there. When you face the fear of falling in an arm balance and lean into trust, you build the resilience to face challenges off the mat too. You begin to walk taller, live braver, and approach your life with a deeper sense of trust in yourself.

Come ready to play, explore, and surprise yourself with what’s possible. No matter where you are in your practice, whether you’ve never tried an arm balance or you’re ready to refine your form this workshop will help you build strength, courage, and confidence.
