Planned Home Births Are Just as Safe as Birth Center Births!

� New research from Oregon State University analyzed over 110,000 births across the U.S. and found:
� Fewer Transfers: Lower hospital transfer rates for planned home births.
� Better Neonatal Health: Fewer NICU admissions compared to birth centers.
�Maternal Safety: Comparable rates of postpartum hemorrhage and hospitalizations.

Led by Dr. Marit Bovbjerg & Dr. Melissa Cheyney, this study confirms that home and birth center births are equally safe for low-risk pregnancies. Informed choices = safe, empowered care. �

Hello. I'm working with a lovely family of 3, soon to be 4, who are new to Juneau. The lease on their short term apartment ends at the end of the month. Anyone have leads on available apartment or home rental? Also looking for a mommy's helper - occasional help playing with her almost 2 year old son while she remains in the home. Maybe a homeschooling teen who would like a few hours of work? Thanks for any leads.
