Harbor Health, LLC, a family medical and counseling center located in Juneau, Alaska, is seeking a qualified, licensed mental health counselor to join our team!
ABOUT US
We have been open since 2019, and have quickly built a successful practice that continues to grow! Our clinic is female owned by our lead Family Nurse Practitioner. Our team currently consists of two part-time LCSWs, two Family Nurse Practitioners, one full-time front desk, two Medical Assistants, Billing Specialist (off-site), and Office Manager.
Our patients and visitors frequently tell us that we have created a warm, relaxed environment in our clinic that feels like home. We take great care in making all visitors feel welcomed and well cared for. Of equal importance is how we care for our staff members. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking to add 1-2 Licensed Mental Health Counselors to our team!
This is a remote and/or hybrid position. Counselor is able to work entirely virtually in a quiet, distraction-free workspace in the Counselor's home office or work virtually with option to use our on-site counseling space when needed. This position does offer a great deal of flexibility in scheduling!
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will have a professional license to practice in the State of Alaska (or be willing to obtain licensure in Alaska), and will maintain active, unencumbered status with all regulatory bodies.
Counselor will have the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Unfortunately, only candidates who have completed all post-grad supervision requirements can be considered at this time.
Counselor will have a minimum of two years experience, working with a variety of client needs, and with clients across the lifespan, using an array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Counselor will have a warm, accepting, and professional demeanor with all clients and fellow team members.
Counselor will have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Counselor will be comfortable with technology: have familiarity with electronic charting; able to operate phone, fax, copy machine; able to proficiently use basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word to produce letters when needed.
Counselor will have excellent communication skills.
Counselor will have proficiency in time management, and will be required to complete chart notes within 48 hours from client encounter.
Counselor will be reliable and dependable with a proven work history and background check.
Counselor will have the ability to work based on Alaska Time zone, regardless of Counselor's home location. Preferred candidates will be located in Alaska or within Pacific Northwest region of the United States.
