What does yoga really offer us when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or shaped by external expectations?

New Toddcast with titled Kashi: Building a Consistent Yoga Practice That Lasts

🔥 Comment ‘KASHI’ to get the link to the episode

In this episode of the Native Yoga Toddcast, I sit down with Kashi for a deeply honest conversation on spirituality, community, and personal authenticity. We explore how shared practice and connection can support healing, including in the context of trauma and PTSD, and how yoga can become a steady ground for personal growth through life’s challenges.

Kashi also reflects on his unique journey from monastic life to becoming a householder, offering insight into what it means to stay true to yourself even when the path you choose doesn’t fit external expectations. His story invites us to look at identity, change, and the courage it takes to follow your own inner truth.

We also dive into timeless yoga philosophy and the relevance of teachings like the Bhagavad Gita, especially in understanding the cycles of conflict, growth, and transformation we all move through.

This conversation is a reminder that yoga is not just personal practice, but a shared human experience that can bring clarity, resilience, and direction in turbulent times.

In this tutorial, I will give you different strategies for how to practice yoga if you have a shoulder injury. Often I hear, “I am not able to enjoy my yoga practice because I have an injury.” My goal is to point out different ways you can use yoga as a form of physical therapy to help take care of and give space for healing to occur.

Whether you have a rotator cuff injury, bursitis, inflammation of the biceps tendon, or even frozen shoulder, you might even be rehabbing your shoulder post-surgery, there is a way to still practice yoga and learn to apply accurate pressure and movement that will allow the shoulder to heal. Always please consult with your physician regarding your specific injury.

So whether you are a yoga beginner or you are an advanced yoga practitioner, this yoga tutorial is for you. I have been practicing yoga since I was 18 years old and have been teaching yoga professionally for the past 26 years, and I have seen so many students and yoga practitioners receive great benefit through intelligent yoga sequencing and awareness applied during practice.

What I present to offer you is experiential techniques, meaning techniques that I have used myself and have felt and seen incredible improvement because of. Through trial and error, working on myself and closely with students for many years now, we are figuring out what works and what doesn’t work. This, my friend, is what yoga is all about.

If you enjoy this type of instruction, give us a subscribe or follow and let me know what you think. Remember, be patient and consistent, and good things will follow.
