September is Pain Awareness Month—so let’s talk about how pain and the brain are connected.

Pain isn’t always just about injury. Sometimes, the pain sticks around long after the tissues have healed. That’s because the brain and nervous system can get “stuck” in pain loops, continuing to send pain signals even when there’s no clear reason.

At Center for Brain, we work with these chronic pain patterns using tools that support nervous system regulation:

🔵Neurofeedback helps the brain find a more balanced, flexible rhythm—sometimes easing tension and pain responses

🟢Body bioregulation devices gently stimulate systems that support healing and inflammation reduction

🟠Firefly light therapy (photobiomodulation) promotes cellular recovery and circulation, and we’re seeing exciting early results

🟡For some clients, nutritional support like SPM Active and Curamin complements the process

Even though pain isn’t always the main reason people come to us, many report improvement—especially with headaches, back pain, and strange nerve-like referral pain.

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, but when we support the body and the brain, things can start to shift.

Healing, Connection, and Growth 💙

Once upon a time, Babette helped save Deborah’s life. Recently, Deborah helped Babette learn how to set herself free.

This is the kind of magic that happens at Center for Brain Training.

Both of these amazing women are thriving, thanks to neurofeedback and the wide range of tools we offer to support the neurodiverse brain. We’re beyond grateful to witness these full-circle moments of healing and empowerment every day.

🌟 Join Babette this Friday at 6pm for a special Sound Bath at the Norton Museum — just $10 and includes a heartfelt moment of Teacher Appreciation.

Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

At Center for Brain, we’re lucky to have Jayne, one of our incredible neurofeedback techs, who brings years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum. Her approach is simple but powerful:

➡️ Respect their unique communication styles.
➡️ Celebrate small victories.
➡️ Create an environment where they feel safe to be themselves.

Jayne often reminds us that progress isn’t always linear — and that connection, patience, and trust are the foundation for meaningful growth.

This Autism Acceptance Month, we honor every step forward, every moment of calm, every breakthrough — big or small. 💙

Understanding what a child truly needs is the first step to meaningful support.

Jayne, one of our neurofeedback techs, brings 8 years of ABA experience and a heart for helping autistic children feel safe, seen, and supported.

In this post, she shares a few simple—but powerful—reminders:
🧠 Behavior is communication
🌪️ Overwhelm isn’t defiance
🧍‍♀️Regulation starts with the adult
💬 Connection > correction

At Center for Brain, we take a calm, individualized approach to working with neurodiverse kids. Neurofeedback is just one of the tools we use to help their brains—and their confidence—thrive.

Every child is different. Every brain is unique.

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

At Center for Brain, we have the privilege of working with many incredible children, adults, and families navigating life with an autism diagnosis.

Every brain is wired differently—and that’s something to respect, understand, and celebrate. Through neurofeedback and brain training, we support clients in building emotional regulation, focus, and confidence in a calming and empowering environment.

This month, we’ll be sharing stories, insights, and helpful tools to raise awareness and honor the unique strengths of the autism community.

💙 Different, not less. Let’s build more understanding together.

Look who’s back in the saddle. 🐎

Kim Adams Kolloff, pictured here with our incredible neurofeedback tech Jayne, has been making beautiful strides since returning to Center for Brain. For a while, she couldn’t volunteer or ride—but now, she’s back doing what she loves, and this moment at the Wellington horse show says it all.

We’re honored she gave us permission to tag her and share this photo—it’s a joyful reminder of how supporting the brain can help restore connection, passion, and purpose.

As we recognize Brain Injury Awareness Month, we’re celebrating all the ways brain health impacts quality of life—through resilience, recovery, and renewed possibilities.

Way to go, Kim!

In honor of Brain Injury Awareness Month, we’re clearing up some of the most common myths we hear:
❌ You have to lose consciousness for it to count
❌ Mild injuries don’t have lasting effects
❌ Everyone recovers quickly and completely

The truth?
Every brain injury journey is unique—and the more we know, the better we can help.

At Center for Brain, we’re committed to helping individuals heal, grow, and regain clarity through neurofeedback and brain training.

🍀 Just like a rainbow after the rain, a balanced brain brings clarity, calm, and brighter days ahead.

Your 🧠 , much like a 🌈 , is made up of different elements working together in harmony. When all parts are in balance—just like light and water create a rainbow—you experience greater focus, resilience, and well-being.

This St. Patrick’s Day, take a moment to support your brain health. Small, intentional steps—like deep breathing, movement, or neurofeedback—can help bring more clarity and ease into your life.

Wishing you a day filled with balance, brightness, and a little extra luck! 💚

✨ Happy (a little belated) Birthday, Mandy! ✨

Today, we’re celebrating Mandy—a truly beautiful soul who has brought so much heart, care, and wisdom to our team over the past four years. If you’ve had the chance to work with her, you know just how special she is—kind, intuitive, and always ready to support others on their journey. 💙

Her birthday was a few days ago, and we couldn’t let it pass without sending her some extra love! Mandy is stepping into an exciting new opportunity out of state, where she’ll continue working with advanced brain and body technologies and following her passion for helping people. While we’ll miss seeing her at Center for Brain, we know she’s on the right path, and we couldn’t be happier for her!

Join us in wishing Mandy the happiest (slightly late) birthday and sending her lots of love for this next chapter!

Mandy, your empathy, humor, and passion for helping others have left an imprint on all of us. We are endlessly grateful for you, and we know that wherever you go, you’ll continue shining in the way you were always meant to. 🌟
