I went to visit the Forbidden City and ironically, I was forbidden to enter because reservations must be made a day ahead.

Instead of being frustrated, I used the moment for self-reflection.

What we experience in the outer world can mirror something happening within our subconscious.

So I explored a deeper question:

What might we believe to be forbidden for us on a subconscious level, even though we deeply desire it?

Human psychology has a fascinating pattern:
when something becomes restricted, the desire for it often increases.

History shows it.
Culture shows it.
And sometimes our own choices reflect it as well.

With awareness, we can begin to recognize when attraction comes from curiosity, and when it comes from the subtle pull of something that once carried the label forbidden.

From that awareness, our choices can move from unconscious reaction into conscious alignment.
