Michelle Carrillo-Massa, MD, PA

Dr. Carrillo-Massa is a board certified Family Practice physician. She developed an interest in wellness and healthy living at a very early age. Maarten, N.A.

She grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl to a family with a rich heritage in science and medicine. She received her M.D. from the American University of the Caribbean in St. and completed a residency in Family Practice at the University of Florida in Gainesville. After spending time researching and studying complementary and holistic medical treatments, she realized her passion for natural healing approaches. This then led to her receiving a certification from the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She provides a combination of conventional western and complementary holistic medical care and forms a partnership with her patients to help empower and guide them in optimizing their health to prevent disease and allow one to heal from the inside out. She believes in order to reach a state of balance one must be well in mind, body and spirit as all are connected. She believes in the philosophy of treating the patient, not the disease. She takes an integrative approach and delves into finding the root cause for symptoms, illnesses and/or diseases one may be experiencing and concentrates on learning all areas of her patient’s life including lifestyle habits, nutrition, family, emotional stresses or traumas, friendships, and spirituality. She then uses health assessments including specialized functional medicine tests to evaluate nutritional, hormonal, adrenal, liver and digestive balance and forms a specific plan for each individual patient including the use of needed nutritional changes, supplementation, and natural hormones if necessary.
