A 68-year-old woman presented with Grade III capsular contracture affecting her 240 cc silicone breast implants. She reported firmness, distortion, and discomfort, all classic symptoms of significant contracture.

Dr. Cooper performed a bilateral explantation with a total capsulectomy, removing both the implants and the surrounding contracted capsules. To restore a more youthful, natural breast shape and improve overall lifestyle satisfaction, a breast lift (mastopexy) was also performed at the time of explant surgery.

The procedure not only addressed the physical complications caused by the capsular contracture but also enhanced the patient’s aesthetic outcomes and quality of life.

Dr. Cooper then grew a successful practice at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he specialized in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery and facial rejuvenation procedures, and earned recognition as a Top 10 doctor and was named one of the city’s most compassionate doctors.

After 10 years in Boston, Dr. Cooper returned to South Florida in 2014 and established his practice. Dr. Cooper has quickly become one of the most sought after cosmetic surgeons in South Florida, with a flourishing local practice and a growing out-of-town patient base who travel from all over the country for cosmetic surgery of the face, neck, eyes, breasts, and body.
