Watch as Dr. Mejia removes a small pilar cyst on the scalp. These cysts are filled with keratin and often come out smoothly once opened. The key is removing the entire sac to prevent it from coming back.

A patient came back to the office for a 2nd Optilight treatment, which is an advanced IPL treatment for dry eyes. Many patients are surprised to learn that dry eye is often caused by inflammation in the meibomian glands. By using specialized eye shields, Dr. Mejia is able to safely treat both the upper and lower eyelids, getting right up to the eyelash line for maximum effect.

It’s FDA-approved and incredibly effective. This patient has been dry-eye-free for over a month and is back for another treatment. He is thrilled that he can wear his contact lenses again, and even his flare-ups have stopped completely.
