February is American Heart Month, and at Alii Health Center, we're embracing the heart of our community with 'Cardiology Goes Red Fridays.' Every beat of your heart is a beat for life, and wearing red this Friday is our collective pledge to stand strong against heart disease, the leading cause of death nationwide.

But awareness is just the beginning. Understanding your heart's health starts with a simple, yet powerful tool: the lipid panel. This crucial blood test measures your cholesterol levels, including LDL, the 'bad' cholesterol that can build up and block your arteries; HDL, the 'good' cholesterol that helps remove LDL; triglycerides, which at high levels can lead to coronary artery disease; and total cholesterol, the overall measure of your cholesterol health.

Join us at Alii Health Center in wearing red this Friday this week. Let's make a bold statement for heart health, and remember, a simple lipid panel could be your first step towards a healthier heart. Schedule your screening today, and let's turn the tide against heart disease together.
