Our next prenatal class will be held on Monday, April 27th.
Our prenatal class covers aspects of the childbirth experience.
• What to expect in labor and delivery
• Signs and stages of labor / contractions
• Breathing and pain control
• Cesarean section procedure
• Postpartum expectations
🚼All of our new babies and mommas take home a free supply of diapers from size 0-6 and wipes for a year, if you deliver at our Women's Center. We think that makes your birthing experience unique at Scotland County Hospital.
To register for the class, call the office of Sonya See, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at 660-465-2828.

As a parent or caregiver, it is crucial that you educate your family members about the dangers of fentanyl and fake pills. Fentanyl is extremely dangerous and could be hidden where you least expect it. Tips for Parents and Caregivers:

- Encourage open and honest communication
- Explain what fentanyl is and why it is so dangerous
- Stress not to take any pills that were not prescribed to you from a doctor
- No pill purchased on social media is safe
- Fentanyl has been found in most illegal drugs
- Create an “exit plan” to help your child know what to do if they’re pressured to take a pill or use drugs

Safe Sleep Matters – April 16, 2026 💙
Every baby deserves a safe place to sleep. Creating a safe sleep environment can help reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths.
Remember the ABC’s of Safe Sleep:
🅰️ Alone – Baby should sleep alone, without blankets, toys, or bumpers
🅱️ Back – Always place baby on their back to sleep
🅲️ Crib – Use a firm mattress in a safety-approved crib, bassinet, or play yard
🚫 Avoid soft bedding, pillows, and co-sleeping
🌡️ Keep the room at a comfortable temperature
👶 Share a room, not a bed
Let’s work together to keep our little ones safe while they sleep. 💙
If your family is in need of a pack n play, contact our office to see if your eligible for a free pack 'n play at 660-727-2356.
