Today we celebrated our Hoapili ‘Ohana Day which also fell on the Saturday of Holy Week. On this day, back in biblical times, Jesus had died, and His body lay in the tomb. Sunday was coming—but no one knew that yet. Saturday was a day of wondering and waiting, of not knowing what the future would bring.
For those raising a neurodivergent child, that kind of waiting becomes a way of life—waiting for appointments, for answers, for schools to respond, for systems to care. It’s a quiet kind of hope, often stretched thin. It often feels lonely and overwhelming.
Hoapili is here to remind you that you are not alone. We are here to stand with you in the waiting, offering a safe place of belonging and support. Today was a reminder that we are all in this together. Let’s continue to connect, serve and love each other just as Jesus does. Inclusion, belonging, friendship - that’s what it’s all about. Happy Easter! 💛
