In many Polynesian families and communities, we are taught to be strong, to push through pain, and to carry the weight without speaking about it. But mental health is just as important as physical health, and silence should never be the burden our people carry alone.
In this episode, our Director of Behavioral Health Sione Tafuna opens up an important conversation about the stigma surrounding mental health in Polynesian culture, why these conversations matter, and how healing begins when we create safe spaces to speak, listen, and support one another.
Strength is not staying silent. Strength is asking for help, checking in on each other, and breaking the cycle for the next generation. 🤍
