My usually super busy December came to a screeching halt when my leg suddenly got injured with excruciating and immobilizing pain...A true forced stop to slow down. While healing with patience, I have surrendered to "sloth mode," 🦥 moving very, very slowly, resting more, practicing letting go
and placing my energy carefully on the necessary things only. Hey, I learned that sloth mode can also refer to a state of mindfulness that encourages living life at your own pace! If that's not a reason to smile! 🤩 Wishing you all a peaceful, mindful, sweet, and slow merry Christmas 🙏 🎄💋✨️

Aloha Big Island community! We just had some unexpected last minute cancellations of volunteer groups for our IRONMAN run aid stations (Oct 26) and we are urgently looking to fill these aid stations with new groups. If you have a group of friends, or are members of an organization or if there is a group of people you know that would want to step up to help here, please contact me at kerstin.blunt@ironman.com as soon as possible.

On the eve of my birthday, I lovingly reflect my year around the 🌞 Definitely felt the growth opportunities, and I am grateful for occasionally being pushed out of my comfort zone! Yoga comes in many forms, from free flowing vinyasas, advanced and strengthening asanas, to slow-me-down relaxing and stretching. There is probably a style for you, too! I say 'yes' to the challenge of slowing it way down and love teaching my Yin yoga & sunset meditation class. It's a great balance to the hustle and bustle of our hurried lives to help unplug the monkey mind and to plug into connecting with the moment. Plus, reaping all the amazing myofascial benefits!

IRONMAN 70.3 Hawaii aka Honu and IRONMAN World Championship in Kona are looking for volunteer groups to assist in a variety of areas for both races. If you belong to a non-profit group, club, school, church, athletic or similar organization, and your group is interested in volunteering as a group, this may be your call to sign up! The IRONMAN Foundation community grants provide charitable monetary donations to qualified non-profit groups back to our island community.
