You just found out you’re pregnant. You aren’t ready, you don’t think the time is right. You always wanted to have kids but it now.

What about the all nighters?

What about all my travel plans?

What about my career?

How will I make ends meet?

What if my partner isn’t ready?

I’m here to tell you, it’s ok. You’ll survive the all nighters, we did in college, right? Traveling with children is SO much fun! Yes, it’s harder when they’re little, BUT what magic it is to see the world through their little un-jaded eyes. Career? I had one, it was far less fulfilling than my job as a Mom. Mama Bears always find a way, always. And your partner… what if they ARE ready. Give the guy a chance to soak it all in. It may seem crazy and overwhelming at first, but the joy of being a Dad is much like that of the joy of being a Mom, he might surprise you.

Parenting is hard, but it’s SO, SO, good. The second you hold that sweet baby in your arms the world stops and suddenly shifts to shine light on new purpose. It’s the most beautiful thing that can’t be put into words and I will forever be thankful to be a Mom.

Believe in the magic of the season. It’s a really good season to be in.
