Announcing Summer Vet Fest

HONOLULU, HAWAII β€” We are excited to announce the VA Pacific Islands Summer Vet Fest in celebration of 2nd Anniversary of PACT Act. Our summer Vet Fest is taking place on August 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the new Daniel K. Akaka VA Clinic at 91-1051 Franklin D. Roosevelt Avenue Kapolei, HI 96707-9670. This event is just one of many across the nation this summer to welcome Veterans to our clinics, and to inform and educate them about our services and programs.

β€œThe PACT Act allows Veterans new access to VA services and programs, and we are proud to celebrate the second anniversary of this historic legislation at our Summer Vet Fest,” said Dr. Adam Robinson, director VAPIHCS. β€œMany Veterans haven’t enrolled with us yet, and this is a chance for them to come see what we offer while enjoying an event for the whole family.”

This event is a casual and informative way to connect with others and for Veterans and their families to learn about the PACT Act, health care enrollment, and VA benefits. Enjoy food, music, and games. Veterans are welcome and encouraged to come with their family, caregivers, and friends.

Our Ohana Open Market will also be open between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for active-duty service members and Veterans who would like to pick up some cost-free groceries. We have invited many of our local partners and Veteran focused groups to join us for the Ohana Open Market and the Summer Vet Fest on August 10, 2024, in showing appreciation for our Veteran community. We look forward to seeing you there.
