Supine Visvamitrasana π
We played with this one in class this week β and if it surprised you, good. Thatβs kind of the point.
Supine Visvamitrasana is a reclined variation of the full arm-balancing pose, and itβs a beautiful way to access the same deep hip opening, hamstring lengthening, and lateral body stretch β without the wrist load.
You lie on your back, hook one leg high, and draw it across the body while the opposite arm reaches long. The shape creates this gorgeous diagonal pull from heel to fingertip that asks your whole side body to open and surrender at the same time.
Itβs a pose that teaches you to find spaciousness under pressure
Which, honestly, is what weβre always practicing.
I just recorded a full class on my Patreon walking you step by step into this pose β breaking down the prep work, the variations, and how to find the full expression safely in your own body. Whether you felt brand new to it or want to go deeper, this oneβs for you.
