They were one of the first cultures to practice Reflexology, applying pressure to points on the hands and feet which are believed to correspond with organs and other parts of the body.
🇬🇷Greek culture has closely linked massage to athleticism and physical health. Massage was particularly beneficial in relation to the introduction of the Olympic Games to increase flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and speed recovery. Hippocrates is often considered the "Father of Medicine" and wrote extensively about the benefits of massage to strengthen muscles and sooth soreness in muscles and joints.
