You’ve heard of our Circadian Rhythm ☀️ but why did no one tell us about our Infradian Rhythm?!🌙
Our infradian Rhythm is where Science meets Spirit.
I can’t *not* get on the woo-train with this one. Our 4 phases are direct reflections of:
- the phases of to Moon. (lunar cycle) 🌙
- The seasons of our planet (earth cycle) 🌎
- The phases of the sun (sun cycle). 🕰️
- The 4 directions 🧭
- The Elements
Allow me to explain…
🩸 Day 1-5= Bleed Phase = New Moon = Winter = Midnight = North = Earth
🌱 Day 6-12 = Follicular Phase = First Quarter Moon = Spring = Morning = East = Air
🌞 Day 13-16 = Ovulation = Full Moon = Summer = South = Fire
🍁 Day 17 - 29 = Luteal Phase = Third Quarter Moon = Fall = West = Water
The energetics are *the same*. We are magical. We are synced to the cycles of nature. Our bodies are connected to the wisdom of Mother Earth, the moon, the sun, and the elements.
We all intuitively know that in the winter it’s wise to: slow down, hibernate, prioritize Rest, eat warming foods. What no one told us was: every bleed phase - do that too.
[things that are “normal” that I no longer recommend doing while on your bleed: intense cardio workout (save that for follicular phase), eat cold salads (do that while ovulating), wake up early to go to a fluorescent lit gym (wait until the sun comes up and you’re past day 5), intermittent fasting (wait until you’re in your follicular phase)]
In the spring (Follicular phase): we are feeling the energy come back into our body, we are blooming. 💐
In the summer (Ovulation): we are bright, shiny, social, and hott ☀️
In the Fall (Luteal phase): we are focused on completing our tasks, & preparing for wintering *fyi your body requires ~250 more calories in this phase so act like a squirrel and nourish up.
In the winter (Bleed phase): we are resting, hibernating, going inward, and craving warm meals and slow schedules.
So - does it make you a little mad that no one shared this with you?
The cycle that *nobody taught us* about, is the key to up-leveling your Health. The best time to start: is today.
What comes up for you when reading this? Where are you in your cycle?
