There is beauty in the broken. ✨ This 17th-century tea bowl was shattered into pieces but made whole again with gold.

Unlike many repair techniques that work to hide previous damage, the Japanese technique known as “kintsugi” (golden joinery), or “kintsuguroi” (golden repairs), accepts and highlights the full history of the object.

The repairs to this bowl in the collections of our Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art were done using lacquer, a natural resin made from tree sap, sprinkled with powdered gold.

Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your wellness journey. Supporting you with acupuncture and holistic care is truly meaningful to us, and we’re grateful every day for your trust.

Beginning January 1, 2026, there will be a small fee adjustment of $5 per session. This change helps us continue providing the highest quality care, maintain a calm and healing environment, and cover rising costs of supplies and operations.

We understand that pricing changes can feel challenging, and we want you to know this decision wasn’t made lightly. Our intention is always to ensure that every session you receive is deeply supportive, therapeutic, and worth your time and investment.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out —We’re here for you.

With care,
Charlie, Wendy & Monique

Time to set the clocks back again. These transitions into and out of Daylight Savings Time may disrupt circadian rhythms and lead to sleep disruption, mood shifts and feelings of fatigue. For thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine has recognized the influence of the time of day on biological processes. Acupuncture is one way to balance your energy and support your adjustment to changes in the season.
