- Avoid alphabet soup/ coded language; don't assume everyone knows that acronyms or buzzwords means
- Seek first to understand assume good intent
- Leave the space in better shape than you found it
- Move up, move back; if you are participating a lot, make space for others to have a turn if you are not participating very much, challenge yourself to do so
