Well-child exams and dental screenings are required!

Each year, we welcome families to a carnival-like celebration with food, games, a petting zoo, raffle prizes, and live DJ music. As an added bonus, every child receives a new backpack filled with school supplies and personal care kits.

Family Health Center (FHC) offers a full-service team of behavioral health professionals committed to helping you with any mental health or behavioral challenges you may be facing. Our dynamic team is trained to treat patients of all ages who face a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, mood and substance use disorders, grief and loss, pre-/post-natal issues, relationship concerns, LGBTQIA2S+ care, parenting concerns, and more.

We offer therapy services in both individual and group formats to meet your needs. Our team understands that, at times, therapy is not enough to address a person's needs. In addition to therapy, we aid patients in fostering change through the use of psychotropic medications administered by our two Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Ensuring that you are offered the proper medications to support your behavioral health is another way we prioritize the care of our behavioral health patients at FHC.

If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis or needs su***de prevention assistance, please call or text the National Su***de and Crisis Lifeline at 988. For immediate local assistance or transportation to the emergency room, please call 911.

Family Health Center (FHC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the citizens of Kalamazoo County. FHC provides quality health care to some 36,000 historically underserved patients, ensuring that all people who enter our facilities are treated with dignity, respect and a welcoming spirit. FHC opened in 1971 to address the unmet medical needs of low-income and minority populations in Kalamazoo County. From a temporary space in a converted trailer, FHC has grown to five high-quality health care facilities with state-of-the-art services, plus mobile health and dental clinics, all serving our community. Our goal is to create a “medical home” for families, children and adults who seek answers to their health care needs. We are here for you, Kalamazoo. We are Family. #FamilyHealthKzoo
