Reiki and Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a condition that presents intense, chronic muscle pain and cramping in various or all areas of the body at the same time. There are many other symptoms such as:

· sleep disturbance
· IBS
· depression
· headaches
· lethargy
· inability to move
· mental fatigue ('fibro fog') chronic pain in joints/numbness and tingling throughout the body.

I understand your pain!

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2011 after many years of suffering symptoms and trying to get to the bottom of what was wrong with me. Does this ring any bells for you?

I experienced the classic tender points that help define the syndrome and unexplained arthritis type pain in my neck, hands, arms, legs and feet. Everything hurt, even a hug could be very painful. I seemed to be extra sensitive to noise and suffered from what is referred to as 'fibro fog'.

The medications given were not helpful and often caused more symptoms. At one point I was on 8 to 10 different medicines, 1 for each symptom. I felt depressed and found that once diagnosed, apart from a yearly medication review, I was given very little support.

I had all but given up until Reiki came into my life.

How I manage fibromyalgia and how I can help you?

In 2021 my husband purchased me a Reiki session, to see if it would help with my symptoms and there began my healing journey with Reiki.
With regular Reiki sessions, along with a change in what and how I ate and regular exercise, (start out slowly).

It wasn’t long before my symptoms were nearly gone. I no longer needed to take any of my prescribed medication, I rarely have flare ups and when I do they are short lived.

My passion for Reiki led me to train as a Usui Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher along with my husband.

How could Reiki benefit your fibromyalgia symptoms?
