One of the most common questions I get in my profession is: *“Should I use ice or heat?”* ❄️🔥

Here’s a simple way to think about it:

**Ice = calm things down**
Best for new injuries, swelling, inflammation, or sharp pain. Think: sprains, strains, or anything that just flared up. Ice helps reduce swelling and can numb pain.

**Heat = loosen things up**
Best for tight muscles, stiffness, or chronic aches. Think: sore backs, tight hips, or that “always there” tension. Heat increases blood flow and helps tissues relax.

**Quick rule of thumb:**
👉 If it’s swollen or hot → use ice
👉 If it’s tight or stiff → use heat

And sometimes… your body will tell you what feels best—listen to it.

If you’re ever unsure, reach out. Using the right tool at the right time can make all the difference in how quickly you feel better.
