Last week, we were thrilled to receive the Team of Excellence award for the second year in a row at the Health Care Association of Michigan conference!! 👏👏 A special shout out to Sophie Markus, our incredible Sous Chef, who was also presented with the Gerry Baker Hero of Healthcare award during this time! During National Assisted Living Week, we followed along with this theme by holding our own awards ceremony, handing out “yearbook style” awards to our staff!

We ended National Assisted Living Week with a staff bike race which brought much laughter to the team and residents! After playing another round of cash BINGO, we had a staff potluck! Thanks to Xfinity for providing the burgers and hot dogs! Staff also wore special Vineyard T-Shirts for a special Vineyard resident - you are missed Julia C.

National Assisted Living Week has been off to a great start at Vineyard. Today’s theme was Hawaiian day where both staff and residents participated by dressing up! We started off with a great game of cash BINGO followed by an intense water balloon fight, messy pie in the face, as well as “I trust my resident” game! Following along with the Hawaiian theme the kitchen served up Bahama Mama mocktails and are ending the night with a Luau Dinner! Thanks to Advia Credit Union in Texas Corners for sponsoring the “pig” from Bailey's Meats
