Do you have trouble breathing? It could be a pulmonary embolism.

📖A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that forms in a vein, travels through the bloodstream, and gets lodged in the lungs. This is a medical emergency as it can be fatal in a short time if the clot is large or there are multiple small clots!

✅Symptoms: Main symptom is shortness of breath. Other less common symptoms include anxiety, restlessness, body pain, coughing up blood, vomiting, fainting, rapid heartbeat, and more.

✅Treatment: Options include Heparin, Thrombolysis, Suction Thrombectomy, Open Surgery, and Vena Caval Filter.

What happens during sclerotherapy? Our process is simple, and we are there for you the entire time!

A typical session is 60-90 minutes and consists of meeting with one of our varicose vein specialists. We clean your skin with alcohol swabs and examine the surrounding area with a light that illuminates the vein. We then make an injection, massaging the area afterward to distribute the solution to other parts of the vein. Following sclerotherapy, we give you compression stockings and instructions on follow-up care.
