Congratulations to Dr. Mohamad Fakhreddine for being chosen as the WMCC STRIVE Champion for September!

He was nominated by two patients. The first expressed deep gratitude for the care she received here during radiation treatment. She felt grateful for Dr. Fakhreddine's 'soft, kind and compassionate care' throughout treatment and added that WMCC became like a home to her.

The second patient recently finished treatment and mentioned how she feels like WMCC is her family and that she is sad to go. She had nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Fakhreddine and his soft-spoken words of wisdom.

Today, we’re excited to welcome Dr. Aeryn Kangas-Dick to our expert team of surgical oncologists!

Dr. Kangas-Dick is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist who brings extensive experience in caring for patients with both benign and malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Her skills and compassion are a valuable addition to the cancer care available here in Southwest Michigan.

Love is all around. 🥰 This time, it's from a group called 'Sew Blessed' based at Living Hope Community Church in Richland. These talented, caring seamstresses, led by JoAnn Zigterman, created walker bags. These bags help people with walkers bring their items with them - things like magazines, books, phones, and water bottles - when they come for an office visit or treatment.

Thank, you, Sew Blessed--we are SO BLESSED to share these bags with our patients!

Thank you to everyone who made the 2nd annual Kathy's Run For Cancer a huge success! 🎉 More than 500 runners and walkers came together on July 4 in Richland to support local cancer patients and their families.

Kathy Kollig, a breast cancer survivor courageously living with stage 4 metastatic disease, continues to inspire us all. Thanks to this event honoring her, WMCC received a $10,000 gift from the run proceeds.

Your support makes a real difference in the lives of our patients, and we are deeply thankful to Kathy’s family, friends, and the entire community for carrying this important cause forward.

Today we’re recognizing National Medical Dosimetrists Day and celebrating the incredible work of our dosimetry team!

Dosimetrists play a vital role in cancer care. They are highly trained professionals who create customized radiation treatment plans for patients. Working alongside radiation oncologists, therapists, and physicists, they make sure every plan is accurate and delivered safely.

Our team is dedicated, precise, and detail-oriented—always striving to design the best possible treatment plan based on each patient’s individual needs. We are truly grateful for the knowledge and expertise they bring to our patients every day.
