Today we are celebrating positivity with ACMH - Association for Children's Mental Health (Michigan) for Mental Health Awareness month. At our meeting this week, CAY youth picked out mental health quotes and wrote them in chalk all over Bronson Park. Here is one of our faves!

To kick off the second week of Mental Health Awareness Month, ACMH - Association for Children's Mental Health (Michigan) has chosen today's theme to be "something you wish you could change about the world." At our last meeting, CAY members took a stroll through downtown in order to capture images for these daily themes. Our youth Dani captured this photo for today. Young people are coming of age in a particularly challenging time; their resilience, hope, and commitment to creating a better world is inspirational

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! CAY members are excited to participate in ACMH's calendar project, where we will post photos on social media to correlate with the theme of the day. Today's theme is: something that seems ordinary but is important to you. For this prompt, youth chose the youth space in our office! While it is humble, this space provides youth with feelings of comfort, safety, and belonging--things essential to everyone, especially young people!
