Part of what ails us (ok, maybe a LOT of what ails us) is a mechanistic, separate system, only-look-at-what-is currently-ailing-me approach.โ
โ
We arenโt taught to look behind to see what was causative, or ahead to see what might be on the horizon.โ
โ
This is troubling, because it means weโre not preventing, and weโre not learning from and correcting. Itโs an approach that makes our health issues harder to treat, and harder to understand as part of a cohesive whole.โ
โ
Because we donโt learn to see wellness as part of a holistic system whole, it also makes it harder to pass on our knowledge and build a familial or communtiy knowledge base. โ
โ
We can only see our experience, and canโt see how it connects to the larger whole. I see this when it comes to womenโs wellness. โ
โ
But...โ
- As maidens - itโs the best time to create wellness for your elder Self.โ
โ
- For mothers/creators - itโs the time to learn for your children/community, and suffer less in the transition.โ
โ
- For crones - you are the wisdom bearers for your families/communities.โ
โ
This is why I have a little sadness every time I hear someone say they are only interested in learning for their time of life. Or express that womenโs wellness learning isnโt for them, since they are now in menopause. โ
โ
When we learn, when we practice, we heal... for ourselves, for the ancestors, for the future generations. โ
โ
This is holistic health. โ
โ
We desperately need to become wisdom holders. Not AI searchers, not googlers, not quick fixers. We need to understand complex systems (including our own), embody our wisdom, and be resources for each other. โ
โ
Ayurvedic learning and practices are an amazing way to do this. โ
โ
If youโd like to step into this practice for yourself - I invite you to join me for a holistic journey into embodying our womenโs wisdom. โ
โ
A 4-week deep dive with other women, of all ages, with various questions and concerns, to understand the whole of it. Not just a part or a piece...โ
