LESS isn’t always better.
Everyone is chasing the result right now… smaller appetite, faster weight loss, and on the surface it feels like a win. Medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro are doing exactly what they’re designed to do, helping people eat less and drop weight. But what I’m starting to see in the clinic tells a deeper story. When your appetite drops, your margin for error disappears. Every bite you take has to work harder for your body, and if it doesn’t, your body starts to feel it. I’m seeing people lose the weight, but they’re also losing energy, dealing with dizziness, and just not feeling right throughout the day.
The body doesn’t suddenly need less nutrition just because you’re eating less food. It still requires the same vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytonutrients to function the way it’s supposed to. And the reality is, most people were already falling short before any of this. Now we’re asking the body to perform on even less input, and that gap is starting to show. So if you’re on one of these medications, or you’ve simply cut back on how much you’re eating, this becomes the shift… it’s not just about eating less anymore, it’s about making what you do eat count.
Real health isn’t just the number on the scale. It’s how you feel while you’re getting there. Your energy, your clarity, your ability to show up every single day. You don’t have to sacrifice that to make progress, but you do need a plan.
