On Wednesdays we RISE Together! Individuals throughout our programs come together each week to attend the RISE event at Centerpoint Church-Kalamazoo to worship, commune, and build lasting relationships.

RISE Together is a space for adults living with mental and developmental disabilities to experience a supportive, loving community centered around building friendships, growing in faith, and enjoying yummy food together!

We're getting excited! Our annual Spring Fling party is tomorrow and our awesome volunteers at the Alcott Day Program were gracious enough to help pack DIY decorated pots and plants activities for our individuals. Stop back next week to see the awesome results from the party :)

Happy Monday! Our friends started last weekend off STRONG with an amazing Masquerade Party hosted by Western Michigan University. Individuals with our program took some classy prom pics, had a wonderful dinner, and experienced an event like no other with plenty of love and laughter.

Picnics in the park are always a good time. Our friends from Old Log Trail had a chance to grab some lunch and enjoy the beautiful spring weather we've been having lately.

How fun! Hopefully some of our individuals served can attend after our annual Spring Fling event on the same day.

A few times every year our team comes together to do walkthroughs with our home managers and staff to ensure we're providing the highest quality service and homes to those we serve.

Our staff have been HARD at work cleaning, organizing, reviewing, and more! We appreciate each and every one of our staff that help make this happen!

Warm(ish) weather comes to Michigan and that means outdoor activities! Our friends from the Old Log Trail home got out and about earlier this week to check out the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery and Visitor Center. And of course, what would an outing be without a sweet treat!

Our Portage home had an awesome Saturday!

Individuals served spent the day cheering on the Kalamazoo Wings and then headed over to Airway Lanes for some bowling fun. Outings like these are all about enjoying new experiences, building relationships, and being active in the community.

The activities and celebration came from World Down Syndrome Day and organized by our friends at @ , where we celebrate inclusion, joy, and individuality, echoing our mission at CLO.

And that's a wrap! Our staff and consumers had the opportunity to attend the Arc's 19th Annual Inclusion Conference last week. The Arc offers resources, training, and education to promote how we can all promote inclusivity in different aspects of our lives, whether that's in a social setting, education, the workplace, or even policy making. We look forward to attending next year!

Find us at the annual Western Michigan University Social Work Job Fair tomorrow! We're excited to be an exhibitor this year and meet some new faces. We love talking about our services and how we help our local community. Come find us at the CLO booth and learn how we provide best of class care to those we serve!
