Some things take time.
And we want to take a moment to celebrate Gloria.

The Healing Portal, created by Gloria Badiner, now lives at our entrance at Cares as a space of welcome, healing, and connection.

Gloria came to us wanting to create something special and spent months thoughtfully bringing it to life.

She drew inspiration from Iris, the goddess of communication, healing, light, and transformation.

On one side, natural forms and medicinal Michigan wildflowers reach upward toward light and growth.

On the other, deeper tones reflect protection and presence, even in darkness.

During Art Hop, we had the chance to share it with our community, and it meant so much to have you there with us to celebrate her.

Gloria, thank you for your care, your time, and your heart.
We’re so grateful for you and all that you’ve brought into this space.
