Wow! Thank you for such a busy, wonderful day! I love when you tell me you’ve been following on social media and it’s your first time in, and I love seeing all the familiar faces I’ve seen here dozens of times.

I know some of you want to come tomorrow but I need to go find a tree farm that’s still open and maybe clean my house a bit but I’ll be open Monday-Wednesday for last minute shopping and then closed Thursday and Friday.

I have a couple final deliveries coming, including needle felting kits, Sashiko supplies, and some art supplies and books. The shelves are far from empty though, so there’s still plenty to choose from throughout the shop.

Gift cards are also available in the shop and online.

Hours next week will be:

Monday 1-6
Tuesday 10-6
Wednesday 10-2

I don’t have to wrestle those watercolor sheets out of the back room anymore 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉

I’ve wanted this rack for SO LONG but there always seems to be another priority. But I finally decided we need it so I got it and now it’s here and I’m stoked. I’m not touching them until after Christmas unless you ask really nicely but they’ll be ready to go in January.

And for all my fiber folks, that little rack is filled with Jacquard Textile Paint. And the screen printing ink and Dye-Na-Flow are en route. 🙌🏻

I always make a lot of work for myself but your ongoing support makes the long days worth it. Thanks so much, y’all.

Haha I accidentally stayed here all night rearranging things so I might be a little tired Wednesday but I think the shelves are looking good and I even gave up a big part of my desk for the new Stoneground Paints display. They’re sooo pretty 😍

I’ll get my holiday hours together soon but in addition to my regular hours this week I do plan to be open next Monday for a few hours in the afternoon. I’ll close early on Christmas Eve and will have very limited hours between Christmas and New Year’s so watch for that announcement later this week.

I’m going home to rest but I’ll be back 10-6 today.

🎉🎉🎉 Stoneground Paints have made their way to Kalamazoo Dry Goods 🙌🏻 These spent far longer than they should have in customs and I gave up hope that they would be here before Christmas but they have finally arrived! It will take me a little while to unpack all the individual half pans of handmade watercolor and gouache, but I hope to have them all ready for you later today.

The shop is open until 6 and I hope to see you!

I haven’t given you an update on new inventory as promised because I’m *still* here working on it but I thought this was too fun not to share. I received these beautiful visible mending stick & stitch packs today - complete with excellent instructions for beginners! - and they sent a note saying the co-founder graduated from Kalamazoo! (I’m assuming they mean K College)

What a fun connection and a fun addition to the shop!

Whether for fashion or sustainability or just pure necessity, visible mending has become popular across several generations of stitchers. These are great little packs on their own but you can also add some needles and a couple skeins of thread and make a great gift for around $20.

I’ll try to show you some more new stock when I catch my breath tomorrow 🙂
