Constance Brown Hearing Centers Its objective is to help people stay connected to the world through sound.

Constance Brown Hearing Centers provides the best in diagnostic testing, hearing aid selection and fitting, universal newborn screening, and industrial hearing conservation. CBHC bears the name of Constance Brown, a prominent local resident who experienced hearing loss and, in 1939, left the bulk of her estate to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation to be used to establish a nonprofit agency to help

the hearing impaired. Under the auspices of the Kiwanis Club of Kalamazoo, CBHC formed in 1942, and continues to fulfill the vision of its namesake by providing hearing healthcare to everyone who comes through its doors, at all stages of life. CBHC is one of only17 Certified Centers of Excellence in Michigan for pediatric audiology, is one of two hearing centers in the greater Kalamazoo area that sees children 5 years and under, and is also one of the few that accepts Medicaid and offers financial assistance. By providing diagnostic hearing testing, rehabilitative treatment, assistive hearing devices, follow-up care, counseling, preventative programs, and education, CBHC helps to prevent people from falling into the isolating effects of hearing loss.
