🐶 Meet Pema!

Pema volunteers as a therapy dog with her person, Karen. She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who will be 6 later this year. Pema is a social girl who loves meeting new people. You can easily tell when she's excited because her whole body wiggles and she can’t help but lick the air! She joined Karen's family during the pandemic, so everyone calls Pema a “pandemic puppy.” But she's so much more than that!

🧡 We’re hiring a Volunteer Program Coordinator at Centrica Care Navigators in Kalamazoo, MI!

This is a full-time role for someone who loves connecting with people, building community partnerships, and making a real impact through volunteer support in hospice care.

✅ What you’ll do:
• Recruit, train, support, and coordinate patient care volunteers
• Partner with clinical teams to match volunteers with patient and family needs
• Build strong relationships in the community
• Support quality improvement and volunteer engagement initiatives
• Occasionally work evenings/weekends and travel within our service area

✅ What we’re looking for:
• Associate degree required (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Experience coordinating, training, or scheduling people (healthcare or hospice a plus)
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Organized, compassionate, and comfortable working independently
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable vehicle

If you’re passionate about service, teamwork, and supporting volunteers who bring comfort to patients and families, this could be the role for you.
