Christine Anderson is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Holistic Postpartum Care Specialist based in Kalamazoo, MI. She is a birth and postpartum advocate with a mission to redefine postpartum support and care for all. Christine spreads postpartum care awareness through interactive workshops, private and group sessions, multi-day retreats, Ayurvedic nourishment, holistic modalities, birther blessin

gs and community collaborations. Christine began her holistic care journey with the Kalamazoo Center for Healing Arts in 2010. Since then, she’s completed trainings and certifications through Nurturing the Mother, Rootead, Center for Sacred Window Studies, DONA and various other national and international organizations in the realm of birth and postpartum justice and healing. She currently sits on the Rootead Enrichment Center Board, a Kalamazoo based non-profit focused on empowering the BIPOC community through birth justice and body awareness. Christine has enjoyed sharing her skills and passion with families for over 10 years, and thrives on bringing community members together to help support and uplift each other. Offerings:

Second to last semester at KVCC is over. Whew! This is my fourth semester in a row with a 4.0 🎉

I have a decent stretch of time off to rest and rejuvenate before this year is over. I also opened up a few additional massage therapy sessions in the office. These are open to anyone, and I look forward to supporting you as you wrap up 2025.

Join me for a guided experience with your little one. During this workshop you’ll learn the benefits and practice the art of infant massage through an Ayurvedic lens. Together we’ll flow through daily abhyanga (Ayurvedic oil massage) techniques designed to support infant health and development. This experience is great for expecting families, postpartum families, grandparents, caregivers and doulas more!

Infant Massage Benefits:
- Baby/Caregiver bonding
- Helps calm & relax baby
- Aids digestion to help with colic, gas, & constipation
- Enhances gross motor skills & body awareness
- Encourages rhythms surrounding sleep & wake times
- Relieves nasal congestion & teething discomfort

What to expect:

- live demonstration of infant massage while you offer your baby their massage

I had the joy of seeing on a recent postpartum community walk. I love hearing where her heart is being called on her path through motherhood.

Shortly before this walk, I learned my dad’s health was taking a significant decline after two days in intensive care. His body was failing, and his transition was eminent. My dad passed September 26.

I’m continually reminded of the love that surrounded me and continues to hold me. A walk with mothers, a note from a friend, tea delivered to my front step.

I'm still riding the waves of emotions, and am looking forward to time away with friends soon. I hope I can express and radiate the gratitude of these heart-led gestures. Y’all are beautiful. Thank you.
