We Need Your Help!

Since 2011, we have been proud to serve our community — accepting insurance, including Medicaid — because we believe everyone deserves access to quality care. Some care that is not available in any other clinic except ours in the multiple counties we serve.

Every year, rising costs make it harder to keep our doors open to all. We don’t get to raise our rates for care, we are subject to what insurances pay since we take insurance.

Did you know that 40% of children in MT have Medicaid and the state pays about 1/3 of the cost with the federal government paying the rest?

We rely on the distribution of funds fairly. That’s why during the 2025 Montana Legislative Session, our clinic owner Jenni Kingan — along with leaders across the state — championed House Bill 585, which would increase Medicaid reimbursement for rehabilitation providers (physical, occupational and speech therapy).

HB 585: Medicaid Reimbursement Rate Adjustment for Rehab Providers
✅ Passed the House 82–15
✅ Passed the Senate 34–14
❌ Vetoed by Governor Gianforte

What happens next?

We have a chance to override the veto — but we need your help.
Here’s what you can do: Call and email your local legislators — they supported this bill once, and we’re asking them to support it again.

Tell them:
My name is (name) I am a constituent of yours on (street name and city) (Tell your child’s therapy story!)

“Please vote yes on HB 585 and override the Governor’s veto. We need our local therapy clinics like Healthy Beginnings Pediatric Therapy to stay open, continue to take Medicaid insurance and be paid fairly for the care they provide. Our community depends on it.”

For their contact information please see comments.

Thank you for your help.

Meet the team!!!

Hey y'all!

I'm Alicia Wiener, a recent physical therapist assistant graduate from the FVCC PTA program and the newest member of the Healthy Beginnings team!

What is a physical therapist assistant? They are licensed clinicians, providing care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. A physical therapist assistant implements treatment sessions within the plan of care created by the physical therapist, collects data, and provides feedback to the PT on the patient's progress.

Here's a little about who I am. I was born and raised in central Minnesota, came out to Kalispell, MT for the PTA program, and absolutely fell in love with Montana so of course I had to stay. I love being active in the outdoors, enjoying hiking, snowboarding, volleyball, drives in the country, and being out on the lake. A few other hobbies include photography, putting together puzzles, and baking. I am passionate about caring for others, especially when it comes to working with the elderly and kiddos, which is why I am so excited to put my passion for physical therapy and working with kiddos together in this new chapter of my life.

HB 585 – Medicaid Reimbursement

This incredible family, Ben Kingan, PT, and Jenni Kingan, SLP, has been leading the charge on HB 585 for over two years. Their dedication and perseverance have been instrumental in advancing this crucial legislation. APTA Montana would not be here without their hard work and unwavering support.
