April is National Rosacea Awareness Month, and it’s a great time to talk about a condition that’s often misunderstood.

Rosacea is more than occasional flushing or sensitive skin. It can show up as persistent facial redness, visible blood vessels, and acne-like bumps or pustules. Because it’s often mistaken for acne or simple irritation, many people go without the right diagnosis or treatment.

Common triggers can include sun exposure, stress, hot showers, spicy foods, and alcohol. The good news is that while rosacea can’t be cured, it can be managed with the right care. Treatment may include prescription topical or oral medications, laser therapy, and a gentle skincare routine tailored to your skin.
