🩺 Key Responsibilities 🩺
Patient Panel Management:
• Manage your own panel of patients with complete clinical ownership and accountability
• Be available to your patients during office hours for appointments, questions, and concerns
• Provide responsive care via in-person visits, phone calls, and secure messaging
• Develop meaningful, long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Practice without patient volume targets – focus on quality care rather than production metrics
Clinical Care:
• Diagnose and treat acute conditions including respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and other common illnesses
• Manage chronic diseases through evidence-based protocols, including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, hypothyroidism, and hyperlipidemia
• Provide comprehensive preventive care using current evidence-based recommendations
• Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other preventive strategies
• Prescribe and manage medications with careful attention to interactions, side effects, and patient preferences
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and laboratory results
• Make thoughtful referrals to specialists when needed and coordinate care across healthcare settings
Procedures:
Perform a wide range of in-office procedures including (but not limited to):
• Dermatological procedures: skin biopsies, cryotherapy, incision and drainage, abscess drainage, laceration repair, suture removal, skin tag removal, wart treatment
• Musculoskeletal procedures: joint injections (knee, shoulder, hip, etc.), trigger point injections, splinting of simple fractures
• Gynecological procedures: Pap smears, IUD insertion/removal
• ENT procedures: foreign body removal, cerumen removal
• Other procedures: toenail removal, ingrown toenail procedures, compression bandaging, wound care, nebulizer treatments, EKG interpretation, pulmonary function testing
Professional Responsibilities:
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through ongoing CME (minimum of 30 hours annually)
• Sustain appropriate certification and state licensure requirements
• Participate in regular case discussions and clinical team meetings
• Contribute to the development and refinement of clinic protocols and best practices
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and appropriately in the electronic health record
Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with our care team including physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss challenging cases and clinic operations
• Foster a positive, supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and well-being

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner with Montana state licensure
• Family practice experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
