Christy Franklin Professional Services M.S., LCPC Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Trauma Therapist, Individual and Marriage Family Therapist We are all connected.

Life can get complicated and can become difficult affecting our relationships, particularly those that are the most important to us. Unhealthy patterns of functioning can begin to develop and we can become stuck when all we want is to feel connected, loved and accepted. I specialize in relationship counseling including family conflict, making connections, communication and enhancing your emotional

IQ. These relationships can cover the spectrum from marriage and couples counseling to family and friends and into the workplace. My experience also includes domestic violence and sexual assault, trauma, including direct and witnessed as well as PTSD. My work also includes woman’s issues, emotion regulation and anger issues, depression and anxiety, life coaching as well as career counseling. I work with a diverse clientele and provide a safe, confidential and trusted environment to create a treatment plan uniquely designed for you. I also work with parents of children with mental and emotional issues including ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavioral issues as well as Individual Education Plans (IEP's) and 504 plans. Families can be described as a mobile and when an issue affects one part of the mobile, one of the family members, each person can be affected along with the family system as a whole.

This article looks at some trauma-informed new year resolutions couples can make in order to thrive in their relationship and keep the spark of romance alive.
