Stand with your feet on the earth
or near an open window.
Take one slow breath in
and let your shoulders drop.
Place one hand on your heart
and say...

I do not need to beg
for my power to return.
It has been here all along,
quietly waiting for me to stand in it again.

This month,
I remember who I am.
I remember what I know.
I remember what I carry.
I remember the fire that has never truly gone out.

May I stop handing my strength
to old fears, old stories, and places my spirit has already left.

What is meant for me,
meet me clearly.
What is not,
fall away without a fight.

I walk into May
with my head lifted,
my energy claimed,
and my power already known.
So it is.
So I rise.
So May begins.
