🚨 SNAP rules are changing on February 1.

Federal changes mean more SNAP recipients will be considered Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) who must meet or be exempt from work requirements to qualify for SNAP.

IDHS has sent initial notices and a copy of an exemption form to all current and new customers who are directly impacted.

The forecast is calling for temperatures to drop overnight to -7° with a RealFeel of -19° and a windchill of 30 to 40° below zero over the next 48 to 72 hours.
The City of Kankakee has two warming sites available and an overnight shelter to help residents that need to seek warmth from these dangerously cold temperatures.

Our team at Resilient Comfort Care is working hard to support one of our wonderful clients who is currently in need of a one-bedroom apartment as soon as possible.
