Attention Parents.
There has been a large recall on Similac Formulas. Any Similac formula, Alimentum and EleCare have been recalled for chances of bacterial contamination during production.
Please check the bottom of your formula if you use any of these for
- The first two digits if the code are 22-37
- The code on the container contains K8, SH or Z2
- The expiration date is 4-1-2022 or later

Hello Everyone!
We have been having many of our BC Community patients getting letters from their insurance companies stating if Dr. Sterling was their p*p previously they have a new assigned p*p. This is not the case you can still continue to come see us you simply need to call your insurance company and choose one of the providers in office as your p*p. Please check your insurance before upcoming appointments to make sure Dr. Zaheer is listed as your p*p. If Dr. Sterling was listed previously we need you to change this as soon as possible, otherwise insurance wont cover the visits and we wont be able to see you.

Did you know that Lisa is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant?
In honor of the day we are doing a spot light on Lisa's special talents with lactation and breastfeeding.
With over 20 years nursing experience with mothers and babies she can help with any questions you could have about breast feeding. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge she's willing to share. She is always willing to do appointments for lactation consults as well as discuss nursing in regular NB and well visits. Happy IBCLC Day Lisa we appreciate you ❤️

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We wanted to spread the good news that Zaheer Pediatrics will now be able to offer rapid Covid 19 testing for our symptomatic patients.

What does this mean for you and your kids?
First and best of all is a quicker answer so everyone can get back to school quickly or quarantine safely. The rapid test will give us results within 15 minutes.
Second is the test itself is a little bit less invasive so many children do not find it to be as uncomfortable.
Currently we are only offering testing for children that are symptomatic based on guidelines and will not be doing rapid tests on patients who may have been exposed but have no symptoms.
Testing will work the same as it does currently. Any patients that may need testing will need to make an appointment with one of our providers who will then determine the necessity of testing.
We hope the addition of rapid testing helps our patients stay healthy and safe. Everyone have a wonderful weekend.
