We are SO excited to announce that New Eden is partnering with Dr Cooper at Duplin OB/GYN, PA to start providing his comprehensive ultrasound services once a month at our Concord location! Dr Cooper is VERY Pro-Homebirth and gives excellent detailed care to every client!

He'll start coming to our Concord office:
170 Davidson Highway Suite 103 Concord, NC 28027 every 4th Tuesday of the month!

***Be informed that he does not provide prenatal care himself***

These appointments ARE open to the public! Meaning ANYONE, New Eden client or not, can schedule!

Supernatural Childbirth!

Working in the hospital I got whispers of Supernatural Childbirth because every birth is a miraculous event!

BUT since starting New Eden and the opportunity to come to the throne room of God Almighty TOGETHER with the birthing mom and her family is a privilege and honor that words can not express!

This birth was one of the most tangible displays of the power of prayer and worshipping together to break through the wall of labor to transition to birth! It was breathtaking to see The Holy Spirit move in such a mighty way!

Thanks be to God for my fellow warrior in Christ teammates: Grace Ham as Midwife Assistant and Oneicesa Washington RN as Birth Assistant! We needed each other in every way!

I'm also very honored to be able to support a safe healthy birth in a beautiful Black family! His light never dims!

Carly Waller CNM started New Eden Birth & Wellness PLLC in the spring of 2024, & then in the Fall of 2024 Melanie Boling CNM joined the team as a full time midwife serving her area!

Since then, we've had:

50 SAFE Homebirths
27 of those were water births
18 of the Homebirths were first-time moms
5% of total labors were advised to transfer to the hospital for safety reasons
5% of our total labors resulted in cesarean births
2 babies were transferred to the NICU and went home healthy after a few days
0% newborn mortality rate
100% breastfeeding rate at 6 weeks postpartum
3.3% were preterm births requiring hospital transfer
1 mother with severe preeclampsia
3.3% postpartum hemorrhage rate
1.6% postpartum mom transfer to the hospital
6.5% second-degree laceration rate
1.6% third-degree laceration rate
0 episiotomies
0 shoulder dystocias
0 in labor for fetal distress
4 surprise breech presentations requiring hospital transfer

Melanie and Carly have learned so much about navigating, promoting, and supporting safe home birth. We'll always seek to grow, learn, and train to continue to serve the women and families of our communities! We are very proud, though, of how we were able to give 50 families the opportunity to have the birth of their dreams and often a healing redemptive birth from a previous traumatic hospital birth.

Major shout out to our tremendous Midwife Assistants during this time, including Marcia White Jankee and Katie Rancer, along with our awesome team of nurse Birth Assistants who also help us with the postpartum care, including Sarah Clements and Oneicesa Washington!

We always pray that the Lord will continue to guide our hands as He is the Ultimate Midwife! We are just His handmaidens!

New Eden Birth & Wellness is officially launching our Faith-Based Community Childbirth Education Series, designed to prepare families for physiological birth—mind, body, and spirit.

We are honored to partner with , with this series taught by Marcia White Jankee —a Full-Spectrum Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Licensed Midwife Apprentice and one of own Midwife Assistants—bringing trusted, community-rooted, and faith-centered wisdom to each session.

This experience includes 8 live virtual sessions (2 hours each), allowing you to join from wherever you are—your home, on the go, or even while resting on the beach. 🌿💻📱

All you need is your laptop, tablet, or phone, and a heart ready to learn. Together, we’ll explore:

"This is what 3 deliveries in 5 days looks like 😂 (and I’ll add that only one of them was a “butter birth”). We are tired! This pic was taken at 3am this morning after the latest delivery. I can say without a doubt, this work is a calling. It is not easy work. It is sometimes overwhelming and scary. But God always provides and gives you what and who you need. And today, I am grateful He sent this gem my way. She has been by me each time, even when I call her at all times of the night. I never hear complaints, just “ok I’m on my way”. She will make a great midwife one day 🩷"

Home birth is not glamorous. It's wild and rough many days. Not every birth is easy. Some are downright exhausting. Others have complications. But we have extensive emergency supplies we bring with us in case of these emergencies. The vast majority of the time we can resolve it at home. Sometimes in rare situations we need to transfer to a hospital. Safety is always our first priority! But Melanie and Katie Rancer did a PHENOMENAL job managing this birth without needing a hospital transfer because they're that trained, skilled, and competent to do so!

An incredibly miraculous and FAST labor was attended skillfully and safely by one our awesome Midwife Assistants Marcia White Jankee and the always fantastic Melanie Davis Boling CNM! Never a dull moment in the birth world, especially home birth!

But we train continuously, study, and prepare for the unexpected, so that when surprises come, we keep a level head, thanks to the power of the Holy Spirit!

When you've bonded with a family and feel like you're really become family, it's hard to transition out of the 6 week postpartum visit with a warm hug and bittersweet feelings of joy, gratitude, and some sadness.

I'm so proud of this beautiful and strong mama for overcoming her fears to usher her new baby in with courage and victory! With all of the horrible things happening all around the country to Black women in hospital systems, we rejoice in the safe, loving, peaceful, and intimate home birth for her and her lovely family! Praise the Lord indeed!

It's such a blessing to be able to attend and give the space and support a couple needs to have a redemptive and healing home birth with their second child after a heavily medicalized and stressful hospital experience from the first child!

This was the first time getting to have the awesome Kati McCutheon attend as the midwife assistant, and she shined with her foundation as a doula to give this mom the extra special emotional and physical support she needed to carry her through her birth journey!
