💡 Surviving the First 6 Weeks After Baby 💡

They call it the “4th trimester” for a reason! Those first 6 weeks can be a very wild ride. Your body is healing, your baby is learning how to live outside the womb, and your sleep schedule is… well… what sleep schedule? 😅

Here’s the thing: you’re not supposed to do it all alone.
That’s where I come in.

As a postpartum doula, I can help you:

✨ Get actual rest while I care for baby (overnight or during the day)
✨ Keep up with the little things like laundry, dishes, and meals
✨ Troubleshoot feeding challenges (breast/chest, bottle, or combo)

This Doula Page Isn’t Going to Be Perfect but Honestly, Neither Is Parenting

Welcome to a corner of the internet where things might not match… and that’s on purpose.

This isn’t going to be one of those polished, Pinterest-worthy doula pages where every post is perfectly curated and all the baby photos have the same filter. Nah. This page is gonna be real like, "left my coffee in the microwave again and I’m answering your DM while hiding in the car” kind of real.

Here’s what to expect:

I’m Back... But I Never Really Left!

It’s been a little quiet on this page lately and that’s because I’ve been deep in the trenches of what I love most: supporting families.

Over the last two years, I’ve been pouring my heart into birth and postpartum work through two incredible doula agencies, gaining experience, and growing my skills in ways I couldn’t have imagined. From soothing fussy newborns at 6 AM to helping new parents find their rhythm, this work has filled my heart to the brim.

But now… I’m ready.
I’m officially opening up my calendar for private clients again!

If you or someone you love is bringing a new baby home I would be honored to join your village. Whether you're looking for postpartum care, emotional support, overnight help, or simply someone to say “You’ve got this” at 3 AM … I’m your person.

I'm putting together a diaper drive to support Mother's Closet , a local organization associated with Birth It Forward that provides essential items to families in need every month.

We're especially looking for size 5 and up diapers. If you have any extra diapers lying around, please consider donating them! You may also send packages of diapers through Amazon! Link will be in the comments.

Also, if you know of an employer, church, or group of friends that might be interested in hosting a diaper drive, please let me know. Every little bit helps!

Did you know you can ask your doula to attend a doctor appointment with you???

We understand that the usually short appointments can be overwhelming sometimes. They may even leave you with more questions that often don't come to your mind until later.

That's what's great about having a doula there with you. We love asking questions so you leave feeling well informed. After the appointment we can decompress and chat about what you learned and felt during the appointment.

If you prefer we can also send you with a list of great questions to ask about certain topics such as inductions. We can also chat on the phone after appointments.

Fun fact: most pregnant people attend more than 12 appointments before birth.

Did you know postpartum doulas aren't just for first time moms/parents?

I have helped first time parents as well as a family welcoming their 5th baby. I love being a postpartum doula. Every session looks different. One day I might be teaching the family how to use their baby carrier and holding baby so you can shower. While other days I may be catching up your laundry while wearing baby so you may bond with your older children.

That is only a few of the things that I might do to help make your life a little easier. Here are a "few" more examples...

Dishes
Pump parts
Sanitizing bottles
Meal prep
Sweep
Breastfeeding support
Bottle feeding education such as paced bottle feeding
Teaching soothing techniques
Talking about the highs and lows of parenting (another fav)
And much much more!!!

Funfact::: You can ask your friends to pitch in and purchase you a postpartum doula package for your next baby shower. Message me to learn more!

A couple of fun facts:::

At Birth It Forward we believe all families, regardless of ability to pay, should have access to evidence based prenatal, birth, & postpartum support! One way we are helping families get this support is by offering free services to anyone receiving WIC benefits!!!

Mother's Closet was a huge success. We helped 18 families get clothes and other essentials. A number of people brought donations including diapers!!! My back is hurtin' today but it's worth it! Also it's always a great day when I get to see my fellow birth enthusiast!

Birth It Forward I don't know where I'd be today without this amazing nonprofit organization! 🥳🎉🎊
