Hey, it's Liz. As I reflected at 4 AM, I thought about a photo I had saved in my phone about how childhood experiences become adult triggers. I didn't plan to work during my morning relaxation time, but the spirit of the muse hit, and I obliged. Here are some reflections on how a therapist navigates childhood triggers and actively works to heal them — thus becoming a better "wounded healer" for the clients I serve every day.

Doing my own deep inner work and witnessing the transformational power of nervous system regulation in the face of past or childhood triggers has helped me learn how to better attune and empathize accurately with my clients, and be a better holding container and guide as they navigate their past, present, and manifest the future they deserve.
If you notice patterns of thoughts/emotions/words/actions that you keep repeating, and don't know why, just know that the Team of therapists at The Liz Davis Therapy Group wants to help.
Doing the work is hard (it can be painful to confront ourselves with honesty!), but you don't have to do it alone. Our therapists are excellent, compassionate, and effective at walking alongside you on your healing journey.
If you want to do the work, we want to do it with you.
As a therapist, I explore childhood wounds, present-day triggers, and how I've worked to heal into a more Authentic and Aligned version of my Higher Self, and you can, too.
