The holiday season can feel overwhelming in general, but when you have ADHD, there’s a little extra overwhelm sprinkled on top.
And it’s not because you’re lazy, disorganized, or too sensitive, it’s because your brain is managing more stimulation, more expectations, and more pressure than neurotypical brains.
If the holidays don’t feel as magical as they look for everyone else, it’s not because you’re doing something wrong, your nervous system is just carrying a lot.
